Poem: ELVIS PRESLEY

"ELVIS PRESLEY"

I can be self-centered
Yeah, so edgy
Sometimes I feel like Elvis Presley
I’m apprehensive and I make errors
Every now and then I feel like I’m at closing stages

I can get low down
Don’t recognize which approach is up
I can get far above the ground
Like I could by no means come down

Is it a curse?
Or am I blessed?
If you cannot lever my worst
You will never get my finest

Is this how Elvis Presley experienced?
Must be how Elvis Presley experienced...

All of the fine and superior things
They are now falling away from each other
Like… Like… Elvis Presley

Reality is I clutter up
Till I make it correct
I will not and don’t want
To wind up losing my spirit

I can get low down
Don’t recognize which approach is up
I can get far above the ground
Like I could by no means come down

Is it a curse?
Or am I blessed?
If you cannot lever my worst
You will never get my finest

Leave me or take me
I’ll never be faultless
Consider me
I’m still significant

Is this how Elvis Presley experienced?
Must be how Elvis Presley experienced...

(Inspired from Nicki Minaj’s Song – Marilyn Monroe)
